Everyday Protection for Everyday Injuries and Life's Circumstances

Ensure your wounds receive the best care there is to offer and use the most effective treatment available. Follow these steps and learn how to properly execute first aid for cuts, scrapes, and burns.

BASIC FIRST AID PROTOCOLS

  • Wash hands with soap and water. Put on gloves whenever treating someone other than yourself.
  • Clean the injured/affected area with antiseptic or antibacterial soap, rinse and pat area dry. Do not rub.
  • Apply a good layer of Rejuviderm to the injured area. Rejuviderm contains ingredients that helps to stop the growth of bacteria and prevents infection.
  • Keep the wound protected by applying sterile gauze and tape. Change dressing as necessary to reduce scabbing and scarring.

FUNDAMENTAL BURN CARE

  • Flush the burned area with cool running water for several minutes. Do not use ice.
  • Apply a thin layer of Rejuviderm to the affected area. Rejuviderm contains topical analgesics to help reduce discomfort and pain.
  • Cover the area with a light non-stick gauze bandage.
  • Do not pop or break any blisters that may form.
  • Repeat cleaning and bandage change daily.

Major burns require emergency medical attention. Once the burning has been controlled and is larger than 3 inches over the skin immediately call 911 or seek the help of your physician.
